Simplicity Baby Furniture
Simplicity Baby Furniture is a company that specializes in building baby furniture like convertible cribs, gates and swings.
In the last few years, cheap baby furniture has become an alternative for couples who are expecting their first son. Like most parents, you should try to prepare everything to make sure your baby has everything he needs before his birth, which means buying several pieces of furniture for the new nursery room.
Unfortunately, you'll quickly realise that raising your newborn is much more expensive than you have planned. And if both parents don't have stable jobs the scenario only gets worse.
Parents who haven't completed college have a particulary hard time coping with the new reality, often forcing one of them to drop college and search for a job in order to pay the bills.
Before their babies are born, everyone already knows they are going to spend a small fortune to raise the new family member, but most of the couples had no clue it was going to cost them so much. Sadly, I was one of them.
There are several items you can not afford to be cheap, fortunately baby furniture is not of them. Before buying anything, ask your family or friends if you have have some of their old furniture. After all, chances are they don't need it anymore and probably will be happy to help you out. My mother gave her baby crib, which I later give it a new coat of paint and now it looks as new.
Unfortunately, your wife might not like that plan. Many wives don't like the idea of owning "second-hand" furniture and that might become an issue later on.
In my case, I had a few arguments because of it with the wife. We weren't poor at the time, but we weren't rich either. She called me cheap and I pointed out there were far more important things to spend our money on than a beautiful hand-crafted (and expensive) piece of furniture.
Fortunately, a few weeks later reality hit her and she thanked me for not letting her buy such lavish furniture. No question the stuff she wanted to buy would look great on the new nursery room, but our economy is on the gutter at the moment and we don't know when it will get better. For now, it's better do play safe and be cautious.
Now, I know we could do what some couples do and that is placing ads in newspapers or websites (like craiglists) but we were so busy at the time we didn't even remember it. Still, I have mixed feelings about it, but if you have no qualms with it, why not go for it?
So, which are the primary furniture items you will want to buy? For starters, you'll need a baby crib, a changing table and a dresser.
One word of advine though, even if costs a little more try to get multifunction simplicity furniture like baby cribs that can be convert to toddler beds or changing tables that have a drawer. You will spend a fre more bucks at the beginning but at the long run it pays off, especially if you're thinking of having several childs.
